RS > BT > HS don't use slam!
Hi everyone this is the warrior fury pve guide. Didn’t have enough time to get it into a video guide. I hope it will suffice as text for now.
The stats aren’t yet final, abilities aren’t final, so I , just as you, am trying to find out what talents what rotations and what stats are best for warriors. I am not sure if what I’m saying in this video is completely correct, or for how long it will be correct, but I doubt that anyone can come up with 100% accurate numbers.
I’ve analyzed my damage from an ICC run done in the day of the release of patch 4.0.1.
Main purpose for this was to get a fairly accurate damage per rage point calculation. And damage per rage point would basically tell me the priority for my skills. Which in essence is the most important things when it comes to dps, as it defines the way the class is played.
Now the class is played different as you don't allways have full rage and you can't allways spam Heroic Strike and so how you manage your rage becomes more important.
I had 5 457 293 damage done by Bloodthirst done during 227 hits and 390 crits. This means I did
8844 damage per 20 rage, which means I had 442 Damage per rage point for Bloodthirst.
I’ve calculated the same for all my other skills, I will spare you the numbers, these are the results:
Heroic Strike = 397 DPR
Slam 388 +5% =253 DPR
Bloodthrist= 442 DPR
Raging Blow = 679 DPR
Execute=1394 DPR
Execute is back in business. Raging Blow should be 1st on your priority list. After that use BT and Slam.
Use heroic strike when over 60 rage when BT and Raging Blow are on cooldown. Use it regardless if you are at 100% rage.
Use shouts in between abilities to get more rage.
Raging Blow is high up as DPR, but you have to keep in mind that in real raid situations, and in this test, raging blow is only being used while enraged, while the other skills are being used also while not enraged. So that’s why the higher numbers for raging blow.
In order to be accurate I’ve tested raging blow vs bt, using both only during the same enrage effects with no trinkets and no procs, on a training dummy, had 372 for RB and 226 for BT. I do not guarantee these last numbers as tests during enrage procs can’t be as accurate. But you do get the idea.
The priority would stay the same at this point even if we consider the talent Battle Trance that gives Blood Thirst 15% chance to make the next attack free of rage.
DON"T USE SLAM. Use the rage for something else. Or only use slam if you are at 100% rage.
=======================
When it comes to talents take: Cruelty, Battle Trance.Executioner.
Now you can choose between Booming Voice, Rude Interruption and Blood Craze. Neither of these are too important.
Blood Craze is more about survivability ofc, and should do well in fights like Sindragossa. Using a shout in your rotation basically gives you rage for another ability, so extra shouts means extra abilities used. Rude interruption is situational, some bosses have adds that can be interrupted, or they themselves can be interrupted.
Take Death Wish and from here on out get everything except Die by the sword, furious attacks and single minded fury.
5 points left, between War Academy and Incite, put 3 in War Academy, as it increases damage for both slam and heroic strike.

Gemming:
One of the Blizz goals was to make chosing stats interesting. And more of a guessing game, they wanted to keep things interesting , to keep players wondering, so yes, I am wondering which is the best stat . My though process atm is like this: Your offhand used to not miss because heroic strike was making it into a special attack. But now it misses. Gemming for hit to a degree would increase rage generation.
So I would consider hit and str on equal grounds, as long as hit stays below 27%.
Crit makes heroic strike especially powerful, as one crit guarantees a second crit. Haste is good for rage generation so I would have it right up there with crit.
Mastery doesn’t seem as appealing to me atm.
Luckily, reforging can change stats fairly easy.
Good luck and i hope your dps will improve!
