Hello, this is the Razorscale guide from learn2playwow.com
To start i’m just going to zoom into these patches of purple stuff on the floor, these are called Devouring Flames and deal 6k damage every second to any player standing in them, try to avoid them as much as possible. There are a couple of adds that your raid will need to deal with, 3 types to be more exact : Dark Rune Guardian , Dark Rune Watcher and Dark Rune Sentinel .They spawn next to these machines, and as such tanks can anticipate the places where they can lay down consecrate or death and decay in order to get initial agro. The Sentinel is the biggest and the most dangerous add of this fight. He should be taken down first. Melees should stay away because the Sentinels do a serious whirlwind attack. The best way to kill a Sentinel is to have a tank pull him to a side while ranged dps nuke him down. The smallest in size, called Watcher, is sorta like a mage, he should be second on your priority list, he casts Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning, which are both interruptible. So… yes, if you can, interrupt them, especially Chain Lightning. The rest of the adds that you see around, medium in size , are called Guardians and they should be last on your priority list. Also you may notice that they are dual wielding,. Try to remember the priority on adds: Largest (Sentinels) should be killed by ranged dps 1st-, the Smallest(Watchers) should be interrupted and killed 2nd. Last on your priority list, the Guardians, they are medium in size and the most common. While you are dealing with these adds, the npc’s in the back are fixing the harpoons that are needed to bring down Razorscale.Once 4 are repaired, (2 for normal mode), a player can use the harpoons to bring down Razorscale. The idea is that once the boss gets to 50% health, he will be permanently grounded and thus you will be able to finish him off. So, while the boss is temporarily grounded, you need to dps him as much as possible in order to get him to 50%.
While Razorscale is grounded, it is good practice to bring what’s left of the adds next to him so that the adds take some damage from the raids aoe attacks. It is recommended that you use bloodlust, trinkets and other cooldowns at this point. Doing so ensures that Razorscale will be completly grounded in 2, perhaps even 1 try, depending on your group’s dps. Once Razorscale is completly grounded, dps can just burn him down, while preferable staying out of the Devouring flames. Tanks really need to look out for Razorscale’s Fuse Armor ability, which reduces the armor, attack, and movement speed by 20% for 20 seconds and stacks up to 5 times. Thus you need to switch tanks as often as possible. A rule of thumb is: if you don’t have Fuse Armor on you, taunt. If 3 tanks are still alive at the beginning of this phase, then you shouldn’t have much problems keeping the Fuse Armour under control. Also , when a new tank takes agro, he should keep moving the boss on the same circle type pattern and not turn Razorscale towards the raid because Razorscale’s Flame Breath, a frontal cone attack, might take down a couple of your dps. For obvious reasons, the healers need to know which of the tanks is next to take aggro. Fuse Armour should not be confused with Flame Buffet, another stacking debuff, this time on the entire raid, that acts as a soft enrage timer, once too many of these stack up players will simply not be able to survive incoming attacks. Thx for watching, this has been a guide from learn2playwow.com.
