Hello and welcome to the Mimiron guide from learn2playwow.com

The Mimiron encounter is a complex, 4 phase encounter. In each phase you will have to deal with a new boss and it’s unique abilities.Although there are many abilities that you will have to remember how to deal with, these abilities don’t come all at once but in phases, so, once you learn about these abilities the fight will seem easier.

In the 1st phase you will deal with the Leviathan. Ranged should stay at least at 5 yards from each other as the Leviathan casts a powerful aoe dot called Napalm Shell. The targeted ranged will require extra healing.

Plasma Blast is an ability that healers and tanks will need to look out for. This ability does serious damage on the tank and can easily kill him if not managed properly. Heals from ALL the healers will be required.

Normally the Leviathan should get taken down within 3 casts of Plasma Blast. Thus you can manage the raids cooldowns : 1st plasma blast the Tank uses his cooldown, 2nd Plasma Blast the healer uses his cooldown, 3rd Plasma blast your other healer can use his cooldown or your 2nd tank (if you have one) can use his cooldown.

Either way you need to have an order set up for the Plasma Blast. Also, since you don’t necessarily need to take the boss down fast, you just need to take him down, you can go at it with only 5 dps but have 2 tanks and 3 healers. This leaves room for some margin of error and extra cooldown usage during Plasma Blast and on other abilities.

Melees and tanks need to get at 15+ yards each time the Levithan casts Shock Blast. This is a large electric like explosion that kills anyone standing close to the boss. You are better of going through the mines than getting caught by this explosion. Ideally, melees should look for an escape path between the mines so that when the shock blast comes they have a way out.

Ok, that was just phase 1, you will have a bit of time to prepare before phase 2 begins and the new boss, the Anti-personnel Assault Cannon shows up. You can use this time to resurrect, rebuff and gain some mana.

In phase 2, again , you need to have the ranged spread out yet in healer range. This is because of the Rapid Burst attack. This attack will damage all targets in front of the cannon. Also melees need to always stay at the back of the boss to avoid damage from this attack. Optionally you can split your ranged into two groups, with a healer assigned for each group and the 3rd healer taking care of the melees.

Ranged also need to be aware of the Rockets. You will notice a large RED circle where the rocket is about to hit. Move out of it quickly or you will die.

Also, notice the Spinning up and the Laser Barrage. The spinning up is a 5 second cast which basically gives you 5 seconds to get out of the way of the Laser Barrage. You must make sure you move out of the Laser Barage path and also that it doesn’t catch up with you. At this point any ranged that is almost getting caught can move a bit closer to the boss to be able to outrun it.

In phase 3 you will have to deal with the Aerial Command Unit and some adds. The Aerial Command unit, aka the Head, attacks whoever has more aggro on it. So have a healed ranged dps on it while the other ranged dps will generally attack the adds. We had our hunter dps the head but a lock can do the job just as well.

That is because both the hunter and the lock have pets, and pets are good at taking aoe damage from the bomb bots explosion. Because of the high damage these explosions make players need to stay at distance from the bomb bots. The Head periodically drops bomb bots under himself. Also you can have a moonkin rooting the bots and then destroying them.

The big adds, called Assault Bots, drop a usable item that allows you to ground the boss. While grounded melee dps can also do damage to the Head. Thus each time an Assault bot is killed a melee can pick up the drop, called Magnetic Core. He is then to go under the Aerial Command Unit and use the Magnetic Core. Watch out for the bomb bots while placing the Magnetic Core.

Alternatively ,you can simply have all ranged nuking the head, have all melees on the adds. If to few adds are around and the melees have nothing 2 do, then they can bring down the head and dps. If too many adds pile up then ranged can switch to the adds.

Phase 4 is the last phase of this battle. It combines together all the previous bosses into one. However the bosses loose some of their abilities. The 3 parts need to go down at approximately the same time. Thus, you can have melees cleaving on the bottom and middle parts while ranged attacks the head. The tank should tank the lower part.

Again, be careful not to get caught by the Laser barrage. A good way of doing this is to either have the middle part focused and watch the cast, or always stay behind the middle part if you are melee.Watch out for the mines and move out when he casts the Shock Blast.
