Hello, this the Ignis guide from learn2playwow.com.

We started the fight by having our tank mount up in order to pull Ignis all the way to the middle of the room. Having Ignis in a close proximity to the water is necessary in order to deal with the adds.

Ignis is now casting an ability called “Scorch”, this ability does aoe damage in frontal cone which is why it is important that all players except the tank stay behind him. Additionally, this ability leaves a patch of burning ground. Staying in the burning ground is not a very good idea, thus repositioning Ignis is required each time he casts “Scorch”. Moving him in a 4 point pattern ,while keeping room for the raid in the middle, ensures minimum damage from the burning ground. It also makes it easier for the raid members that are in charge of dealing with the adds to remain in healer range while having access to the water area.

The adds, called Iron Constructs, are a very important part of this encounter. For each add present Ignis gains a 20% buff to his damage. The 1st step in destroying them is to keep them on the burning ground. To do this, you can have the offtank taunt them to the burning ground and then have a dk or a druid root them in place. If healing isn’t an issue, or rooters aren’t available, you can simply have the offtank holding the add in the fire area by himself.

Once molten, the Ion Construct turns red, drops all threat and now deals aoe damage around him. At this point the tank can go take care of the next add, while a ranged dps takes care of the molten add.

The job of the ranged dps is to position himself in the water, reestablish threat to the molten add and have it come to him and thus to the water. When the molten add reaches the water it becomes brittle , does not move, and is now killable with a single hit of more than 5k. The add explodes upon death so is best not to be close to him when this happens.

It is easy to reach a position in which you have more than one add running around, this happens either because players can’t control the add movement fast enough, or because one of players was put into Ignis’s pot. Thus, it is important to have someone ready to help out with roots or ranged hits. In the 25 man version it is recommended that you have 2 designated teams alternating the add control and destruction.

Another ability that players will need to look out for is called Flame Jets. This ability does damage to the entire raid, interrupts spell casting and locks players from the respective school of magic for 8 seconds. Players should stop casting when they see Ignis casting Flame Jets. It is particularly important for healers to watch out for Flame Jets casts as being locked out of healing for 8 seconds may result in a dead raid member. Healers won’t be targeting the boss, so it will be harder for them to see the Ignis cast bar, however, they can rely on their deadly boss mods addon, or on the ingame default warning “Ignis the Furnace Master begins to cast Flame Jets!”.

Occasionally Ignis will target a raid member and put him in his pot. While in the pot players will be taking a significant amount of damage and thus they will be in need of some powerful healing. Note that players in the pot can also heal themselves.
