Hello and welcome to the Anub’arak guide from learn2playwow.com.
This short guide will only cover the specific aspects of the 25 man, normal mode, encounter . If you are looking to find a general guide on the Anub’arak encounter please check out my 10 man video.
The 25 man encounter is very similar to the 10 man encounter. Same basic tactics and principles apply. Only this time , you will have to deal with improved versions of the boss and of the adds.
The adds are an important aspect of this fight. Spend too much dps on them and you risk reaching the enrage timer. Spend too little and you risk getting overwhelmed by adds. The adds spawn periodically , in groups of 2.
The 1st group you can have ranged dps take it down. The 2nd group you can ignore until Anub’arak goes underground. In phase 2 the encounter is more relaxed so you can basically postpone dps on the adds until phase 2.This will allow you to focus more on anub’arak.
However, there is an even better, more efficient way of dealing with the adds. The idea is to let the adds take some aoe dps. In order to do this the adds are offtanked on the ice, next to the boss. The adds are close enough to the boss to take aoe damage but at the same time they are far enough from each other so that they don’t receive the buff.
Positioning the adds may be a bit tricky as you can’t really move the patches of frost into ideal locations. To help out with this, you can have a dk. death gripping the frost orbs. The tank can also move anub’arak into a more suitable position, as long as he avoids facing the boss towards the raid. Having anub arak close to even 1 add helps, as when that add dies you can bring in a new one.
There aren’t really anymore significant differences between this and the 10man encounter. So… has been a guide from learn2playwow.com. Thanks for watching.
